3 Reasons Why Meryl Streep is African

Many of you know who Meryl Streep is. When someone is asked to describe her they would most likely note her incredible acting skills. Not many, however, would describe her as an African. I know what many of you are thinking, am I sniffing something? Trust me, I have not been drinking the sauce. She is indeed an African, and here are three reasons why.

3 Reasons Why Meryl Streep is African

FIRST REASON: MERYL STREEP SAID SO HERSELF

That’s right, from her own mouth she said that she was African. Well, at least, she said that we’re all Africans when you think about it. During the Berlin International Film Festival, Meryl Steep dismissed questions about the all-white panel. Then, she literally told reporters that everyone is African. To be honest, we could end the debate right there and I could head on home. Anyway, as you can imagine, many people around the world did take offense to what she said. The TFC sent out a tweet that completely disagreed with Meryl Streep, as they said we’re not all Africans.

SECOND REASON: THE PEOPLE SHE PLAYED

During this same festival, Meryl Streep was asked by a reporter how much she knew about the Middle East. When she was asked this, she simply responded by saying she didn’t know that much about it. However, she went on to point out how she has played several different people from several different cultures. Streep said, because of this, that while doing this, she could notice how each culture has a different core of humanity.

THIRD REASON: THE TREND

Even if you don’t want to admit it, this world has been overrun by the word trend. You know what I am talking about, and everyone always wants to know what the trend is. Well, it seems like the current trend is being inclusive. So, when Meryl Streep announced that everyone is an African it added to the current trend.
