Laws have been made against smartphone usage in the car, but that is not stopping companies from making driving apps for vehicles. This seems like it is a little backwards, but it does make sense. The entire point of these apps is to add convenience for users who use their smartphones in their cars. Let’s face it, even the law will not stop people from using their phones while driving. Due to this, these apps will, at least, make it a little safer.
FIRST DRIVING APP: MESSAGELOUD
MessageLoud aims to allow users to listen to their emails and incoming messages while they are driving. This app will link to several e-mail accounts, including Hotmail, Outlook, Yahoo, and Gmail. There are three distinct modes with this app, and they are Work, Active, and Drive. Drive is a mode that is completely gesture-based and the other two are based on button presses. Some of the tasks that can be accomplished are single tapping the app to pause a reading, double tapping it to dismiss the message, and swiping down to delete a message. The one thing that is lacking is a voice command, but the developers of the app don’t believe in that.
SECOND DRIVING APP: TUTURE
The second of the two apps is primarily used for parking, and not driving. However, parking is an essential part of driving a vehicle so it still fits very well. Sometimes, mostly when you are going to a crowded event, it is difficult to remember where you parked your car. You can find yourself looking for your vehicle for hours, and it can be a mind-numbing process. However, with Tuture, this problem is completely solved. The premise for this app is as simple as that, as it will automatically remember where you parked. Overall, this app is perfect for those of you who like to attend high profile events where there are a lot of people.
