It seems like Snapchat is bound and determined to make their users more interested in their platform. In specific, they want users to be more interested in their Discover platform. They are also considering doing more to satisfy their users, and here are the three updates that would do so.
FIRST SNAPCHAT UPDATE TO GARNER MORE INTEREST
Currently, users of Snapchat have to subscribe to people by seeking them out individually. However, rumor has it that this might soon be altered. Instead of this current way, this message service is going to allow all of the users to subscribe to publishers directly. As a matter of fact, a recent report was released and it stated how companies like The Daily Mail, BuzzFeed, and MTV would be on the roster. This is expected to be implemented into Snapchat sometime in May, but only time will tell.
SECOND SNAPCHAT UPDATE TO GARNER MORE INTEREST
This next update is more for decoration, to be perfectly honest. The company may end up replacing the logos in their Discover section because right now they are very bland. These might be switched with a more dynamic type of image, like a magazine-style image. The interest here would be to further illustrate the daily highlights of all of the publishers. Again, this update is more about visual presentation than anything.
THIRD SNAPCHAT UPDATE TO GARNER MORE INTEREST
With this new subscription process, the users should become more interested in the content. The reason for this is because the content would become less static, and more of a preview-like interface. This is only a theory, but this should make users more interested in the content. It doesn’t take much for users to lose interest in something, and the smallest things will peak their interest. Not only this but the Stories page would also be altered with this new subscription process.
