With the recent news of the Apple Watch going on sale in multiple stores, the question of whether there will be a second version has become prominent. However, for those of you hoping this would happen you may be a little disappointed. It seems like the company is going to continue to ride their success with their Apple Watch. This shouldn’t be bad news because as long as they continue to provide updates to the device, it should be enough. With all of this being said, here are a few reasons why the Apple Watch 2 will probably not be happening anytime soon.
FIRST REASON: CAPTURE THE MARKET SHARE
The smartest thing for Apple to do right now is to continue to increase their market share on the Apple Watch. Basically, this would continue to give this watch more exposure so that way when they release the second one, they will have a cult following with the watch. Not only this but there is also little doubt that the company will release updates for their Apple Watch. The life cycle of this device is just beginning, and there is no need to release another one when they can build on this one.
SECOND REASON: THE IPHONE
As many of you know, the Apple Watch only works with the iPhone. So, what does this have to do with not releasing a sequel anytime soon? Well, selling more of their watches will continue to increase their brand loyalty. Whenever the company releases a newer version of their iPhone, the people with an Apple Watch will undoubtedly upgrade to it. As long as they make the iPhone necessary for it to work, customers will continue to give them their cold hard cash. We may see a second version of this watch eventually, but right now don’t expect to see one.
