You can tell the difference between hardcore Nintendo fans and regular fans.
To be completely honest, it is not hard to do so in the slightest. Nintendo is the most prestigious video game company of all-time, and that should be an indisputable fact. So, with this in mind, here are a few examples of hardcore fans.
FIRST EXAMPLE
If you see someone with a Nintendo related tattoo, then you know they are a hardcore fan. Whether it’s a picture of an eight-bit Mario, an N64 controller, or Link from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time you can be rest assured that they are a hardcore fan.
SECOND EXAMPLE
If you follow video games then you know what Amiibos are. Now, let me ask if you have ever seen casual fans with one of these? If you have, then you might want to ask the person if they are a hardcore Nintendo fan because they would probably say yes.
THIRD EXAMPLE
The two greatest 3D platforming games of all time are Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2. Good luck finding a better one-two punch than that. Anyway, you know you are a hardcore Nintendo fan if you can’t wait for Super Mario Galaxy 3. No one knows if this will happen, but only casual fans don’t want to see it.
FOURTH EXAMPLE
There are plenty of Nintendo-based videos online, but only hardcore fans will constantly watch them. From watching LP’s to watching top ten lists, you can bet your bottom dollar that Nintendo enthusiasts are watching videos about their favorite company.
FIFTH EXAMPLE
If you can recall the history of Nintendo, and do so by the specific details, then you know you are different than the casual fan. Spewing out facts about Mario, Zelda, Kirby, Star Fox, Metroid, and F-Zero will have you making casual fans jealous.
