Even the kids around the world deserve to enjoy smartwatches, right? The great news, for the kids who actually deserve it, is that three new vendors are going to be designing new products that are based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2010. Compal, Borqs, and Infomark are the three vendors doing so and it is OK if you don’t recognize their names because they are relatively unknown. Well, with this being said, here are a few facts about the Apple Watch-like devices that will be intended for kids.
THE FIRST FACT ABOUT THE QUALCOMM BASED APPLE WATCH-LIKE SMARTWATCH
The vendors that are going to be designing these smartwatches for kids have made some in the past. However, Qualcomm has stated that the next generation of these products would be much improved. More powerful processors and a much longer battery life were among the improvements they mentioned.
THE SECOND FACT ABOUT THE QUALCOMM BASED APPLE WATCH-LIKE SMARTWATCH
So, what is the point of having a smartwatch for a child? Well, for one thing, they can be a lot less distracting than an Apple iPhone. With the latter device, children can get themselves into trouble in school by playing games. However, they will not get those luxuries with a smartwatch. Kids could still stay connected when needing a ride home from school, though.
THE THIRD FACT ABOUT THE QUALCOMM BASED APPLE WATCH-LIKE SMARTWATCH
Although we don’t know the specs yet, we can look at previous devices and get an idea. Take for example the Verizon GizmoGadget for kids that can call up to ten numbers, count jump ropes, and receive short voice messages. Kids don’t need to have all of the luxuries of a smartphone, they just need the bare necessities. Considering Qualcomm stated that the new generation of smartwatches for kids would be vastly improved, we can expect even better features than this.
