Top 10 PlayStation Video Games To Play Before You Die

Sony has done a marvelous job over the years with their PlayStation consoles. Whether you are talking about the PS1 or the PS4, Sony always has delivered. Over the consoles history, the PlayStation has seen some of the greatest video games of all-time, and here are ten that you need to play before you die.

10. DRAGON BALL Z: BUDOKAI TENKAICHI 3

3D fighting games are very unique, and Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 may be the best. With an enormous character roster and gameplay that improved on the previous two installments, Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3 is a game you can’t miss out on.

1. Dragon 1

9. TWISTED METAL 4

The Twisted Metal franchise is one that often gets lost when talking about the best franchises on the PlayStation, but it shouldn’t. I mean, what is more fun than going around in a vehicle and shooting other people? It also helps that Sweet Tooth is one of the best video game characters of all-time before he completely lost his mind, of course.

8. TEKKEN 3

When people talk about Tekken, they often say that the third game is their favorite. Although the newer installments are still fun, nothing will match the charm of Tekken 3. You can play this game for hours on end and it still would remain fun.

7. CRASH BASH

For those of you who have completed Crash Bash 200 percent, I applaud you. Just as Mario has Mario Party, Crash has Crash Bash. The latter, however, is probably better than any Mario Party game ever released. The mini-games are extremely fun, and the multiplier mode remains one of the best in PlayStation history.

6. SLY 2: BAND OF THIEVES

The PS2 was dominated by Ratchet and Jak, but Sly Cooper held his own. The Sly games are amongst the best stealth games that you can play, and Sly 2: Band of Thieves still remains the best one of the franchise.

5. BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM

Not many superhero video games are worth your time, but the Batman Arkham series is. In particular, the first installment that allowed this franchise to have several sequels. This is the best representation of Batman that I have ever seen, and oh yeah The Joker is pretty good in it too!

4. RATCHET AND CLANK

Some people prefer Jak and Daxter, but I think that Ratchet and Clank beat it by a long shot. Flying from a world to a world in his ship, Ratchet tries to stop the evil Drek from succeeding in his plans. During the way, you will experience epic levels with an unspeakable charm.

3. CRASH BANDICOOT 2

Before Ratchet was around, the PlayStation had their key mascot making elite video games. Of course, I am talking about Crash Bandicoot and his second game was probably his best. Crash Bandicoot 2 featured electrifying areas, no pun intended, and is still one of the most unique platforming games ever made.

2. DRAGON BALL Z: BUDOKAI 3

The most under appreciated video game ever is Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3. That is a huge statement, but it is true. This 2D fighter does not get the praise it should, and it is unfortunate. The Dragon Ball Z franchise has one of the best character rosters in history, and most of them are in Budokai 3. The control you have in this game is unprecedented, and no other fighter can do what Budokai 3 can.

1. RATCHET AND CLANK 2: GOING COMMANDO

The greatest platforming game that has ever been seen on a PlayStation console was Ratchet and Clank 2 for the PS2. The first Ratchet and Clank game was amazing, but this one took everything to the next level. One of the key additions was the ability to upgrade your weapons by killing enemies, and it was one of the smartest moves the franchise ever made. Also, this game features one of my favorite soundtracks ever. Just go listen to the soundtrack of Maktar Nebula, and you will see what I am talking about.
