Nintendo is the king, and it is as simple as that. They may not be producing the best content right now, I am looking at you Wii U, but that doesn’t tarnish their incredible legacy. To glorify their legacy, take a look at these ten Nintendo video games you need to play.
10. F-ZERO GX
F-Zero GX is the single hardest video game ever, and good luck trying to dispute that. If you have played this game and tried to 100 percent it, then you have lost around 50 years of your life. Besides its astronomical difficulty, though, this futuristic racer is amazing. There is nothing like driving at superhuman speeds without a care in the world!
9. DONKEY KONG COUNTRY: TROPICAL FREEZE
Outside of Super Mario 3D World, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze is the best game on the Nintendo Wii U. The soundtrack in this game is amazing, the levels are bigger, and the fun factor is through the roof.
8. STAR FOX ADVENTURES
OK, here me out on this one. Many people disliked Star Fox Adventures because it was not a typical Star Fox game, and they were right. However, if you give this game a chance you will not regret it. There are some breathtaking levels and puzzles in this game, and the adventure is masterful.
7. MARIO KART WII
Why does this game get so much hate? Mario Kart Wii is the best Mario Kart game, and I don’t understand why everyone dislikes it. If it is because of the motion controls, then just use a Nintendo Gamecube controller. It is that easy, people, and using motion controls is not on obligation!
6. KIRBY’S RETURN TO DREAMLAND
Even though Kirby is often labeled as a kid’s franchise, I disagree and say that adults can love it. This is the case with Kirby’s Return to Dreamland, and every single person can have fun with this game. Whether you are playing with four people or balling out with yourself you will have constant fun with this Kirby platformer.
5. SUPER MARIO 64
It is amazing to think that Mario not only saved the video game industry but that he also paved the way for 3D gaming. When Super Mario 64 came out on the Nintendo 64, the gaming world was in awe. Controlling Mario in a 3D environment was such an amazing feeling, but it still feels awesome to this day. This game has not lost its charm, and it remains one of the best.
4. BANJO KAZOOIE
Collecting items have never been more fun than it was in Banjo-Kazooie. The debate about if this is better than Super Mario 64 will never go away, and I think they are equal. The one key aspect Banjo Kazooie did better was in their level designs, as they remain amongst the best in video game history.
3. DONKEY KONG COUNTRY 2
Donkey Kong Country 2 was a platforming game that was developed by Rare but published by Nintendo. Back in the day, Rare was kicking out classics like Banjo-Kazooie and Conkers Bad Fur Day. However, their greatest achievement is still the second installment of the Donkey Kong Country franchise. Among the most noteworthy features of this game is the soundtrack, which is still the best in the history of video games.
2. SUPER MARIO GALAXY
I know I am going to get heat for this, but Super Mario Galaxy is better than Super Mario 64. I said it, and now I am going to my bunker to protect myself. All of the issues with Super Mario 64, mainly the controls, were fixed in Super Mario Galaxy. This game is nearly perfect, and in my eyes, it is the second best video game of all time.
1. SUPER MARIO WORLD
In 1991, Nintendo produced the greatest video game of all-time. Super Mario World is that game, and to this day, it remains the king. The secrets in this game are endless, the world map is amazing, the soundtrack is glorious, and the replay value is through the roof. Even though Nintendo has tried very hard over the years, nothing will top Super Mario World.
