Oculus Rift to Take You to Space

Oculus Rift to Take You to Space  Clapway

For those that don’t have the $4 million dollars or so that SpaceX wants to take you into orbit, there are other alternatives. For one, mind altering substances are not only cheap and plentiful, but they could provide an eye-opening experience into your thoughts and improve your overall outlook on life. You may also hallucinate cosmic beings. I hardly condone that kind of behavior, though. The more responsible thing to do would be to get an Oculus Rift and get blasted into VR space.

DESTROY SPACE PIRATES ON OCULUS RIFT

If there is one thing I hate more than drugs, it’s pirated. Especially pirates of the space variety. They’re constantly trying to infiltrate those mining vessels and steal your space booty. Well, that’s at least what they try to do in the game Gunjack. The game can be found on Oculus Rift and it will put you in a battle between the righteous morals of space and the savage pirates of the cosmic sea. This, of course, will all be in glorious virtual reality.

GUNJACK OFFERS SNEAK PEAK OF VR POSSIBILITIES

GUNJACK is the child of EVE studio CCEP games. The very same studio will be releasing EVE: Valkyrie, a multiplayer dogfighting experience that will be on Oculus Rift and PlayStation VR. GUNJACK has been a huge seller on the Gear VR and shows what the future of the genre will look like. Essentially, people are excited to be blast off into another reality. Well, we always have been. That’s why drugs and space are so popular, but VR is a legal and affordable way to do this.

WHO WILL REIGN SUPREME IN VR?

The days of VR are nearly upon us in full force. HTC’s Vive, Facebook’s Oculus Rift and the PlayStation VR seem to be the top contenders. The latter is seemingly the most accessible, but will that make it the best? As one would imagine, with a small price tag comes less power on the hardware side. Oculus Rift, on the other hand, is predicted to be on the higher quality end of the spectrum. Of course, this too will come with expenses. It will be a tough battle, but with Rift being an open platform and Vive acting as the wild card, all kind of unforeseeable circumstances are due to unfold.
