For a long time, religion used to say that mind-altering substance like marijuana was the root of all evil. Many religious radicals still do, but there are a few progressive Christians out there who think there’s room in the church for both God and one of his finest creations.
MARIJUANA IS NOT EVIL, CHRISTIANS USE IT FOR MEDICINE
Six Christian brothers in Colorado have invented their own strain of marijuana. They’re calling it Charlotte’s Web and they say it is living proof that God exists and everything has a purpose. The brothers Stanley were inspired to become weed innovators when they discovered the medicinal purposes of the substance. A religious news source reported local parents giving the plant in oil form to their epileptic children. The effect it had on them ended their violent seizures. From there, the Stanley brothers sought to make medical marijuana their mission and rid it of its evil reputation.
CHARLOTTE’S WEB HIGH IN HEALING OILS
While recreational users may not like this, Charlotte’s Web is lower in THC than other strains. THC is the main psychoactive ingredient in the substance that is associated with getting users high. Charlotte’s Web is higher in CBD, however, which is the healing oil. So far, they have been hearing nothing but success stories from users. As a child, Joel Stanley recalled being told that marijuana was the source of all evil. It is thinking like this that keeps the church in the dark to the plant’s medicinal benefits. Despite this, Joel and his brothers have found a way to include both church and plant in their productive lives.
POT PILGRIMAGE TAKES OVER COLORADO
Since the Stanley brothers released their invention, more than 500 families have relocated to Colorado to access the oil. To help cover the costs of relocation, they even set up a nonprofit called Realm of Caring, only further proving to the world they are far from evil. The brothers are firm believers that everything God has made was good. Being a natural plant, marijuana falls under this category. It has shamed been neglected by society for so long due to negative propaganda in the early half on the 1900’s. Now that we are seeing the medicinal and cultural benefits, it’s safe to say it’s far from the root of all evil. Instead, a tool to prevent it.
