Microsoft recently announced some more games to be played for free on the Xbox One and Xbox 360 in the month of April. The games that they announced are for the Games with Gold subscribers. On the other hand, the PS4 with its PlayStation Plus service has remained relatively silent. Thus, at least in the month of April, the Xbox One and Xbox 360 are set to out-compete the PS4.

THE NEW GAMES FOR GOLD GAMES ANNOUNCED FOR THE XBOX ONE AND XBOX 360

Microsoft hit it big with their latest announcement, and here are the four new titles they added to their April lineup of Games with Gold. On the Xbox One and Xbox 360, fans will be able to play Dead Space and Saints Row IV for free. The former will be available on April 1st, and the latter will be available on April 16th. Also, Xbox One owners will be able to play The Wolf Among Us and Sunset Overdrive during the month of April.

THE MOST RECENT GAMES ALREADY FOR GAMES WITH GOLD

A couple of weeks ago, Microsoft announced three major titles headed to Games with Gold. Borderlands, Lords of the Fallen, and Crimes and Punishments are the hit titles that the company already released to their Games with Gold subscribers. Their recent announcement means that soon seven hit games will be available for free on the Xbox One and Xbox 360.

THE PS4 HAS AN UNIMPRESSIVE LINEUP FOR APRIL

The Xbox One and Xbox 360 have the Games with Gold service, and the PS4 has the PlayStation Plus service. However, as of right now the only major game announced for the PS4 for PlayStation Plus users is Dead Star. This is a big name title, but it doesn’t even come close to matching what Microsoft has done. The good news for PS4 fans is that Sony still has some time to add PlayStation Plus games for the month of April. For now, they are looking up at Microsoft.
