Destiny is Definitely Better Than The Division

Destiny is Definitely Better Than The Division Clapway

Peace can only exist for so long. The war between the two popular shooter/MMO games The Division and Destiny is starting up again. Both will be launching major updates on April 12. This will force gamers to make some kind of preference. In the past, it was easy for players to dip into each games’ content but now Ubisoft and Activision are going head to head.

DESTINY LIVE STREAM GAINING STEAM

In terms of the live stream numbers, Destiny certainly seems to reign supreme. The game has around 80-100k viewers while The Division has a respectable, but smaller 60K. Livestream doesn’t make the biggest of differences when comparing the two, but considering The Division revealed Incursions, one would think it would be more popular with players. In the meantime, Destiny continues to build interest and curiosity that will most likely pay off for them.

THE DIVISION IS SIMPLY LESS FUN

Now, gameplay is, of course, subjective, but many seem to think Tom Clancy’s newest game just lacks something that Destiny seems to have. The latter has better gunplay, more interesting enemies, a changing environment and characters that one can really bond with. Progression is this game is addicting and rewarding. The Division on the other hand just seems like a nuisance at times. Enemies are not interesting, but instead, human bullet sponges that are a task to get through. At the end of the day, the experience is just not as rewarding.

THE FINAL WORD

Both games certainly have their advantages. The Division has some beautifully designed environments and a solid story to back it up. Games, however, are about fun. Players will respond better to something that is fun instead of good looks or a detailed plot line. Destiny  on the other hand just screams fun. It has that rare quality that allows one to question how long they’ve been at it. Time ceases to exist and interests in never lost. Yes, both games have the ability to succeed, but there is not the question which one will take the upper hand. It’s just a matter of time before the players decide the inevitable.
