iPhone 7 and Apple Watch Charging Dock: 5 Things You Didn’t Know Clapway

DoDock, a smartphone app development company, hopes to give users the best new way to charge their Apple Watch, iPhone 7, and multiple other devices all at once. The device is called the Dock, and with it DoDock hopes to end cord clutter created by multiple chargers.

Charge your iPhone 7

With the release of the iPhone 7 in the near future, why not prepare yourself with a new way to charge your devices. The Dock allows users to charge any smartphone that use either a Lightning connector or a micro USB-C connector. Phones can be charged on both sides of the Dock’s central ring. There are also two additional universal USB ports on the side of the charging station, allowing the Dock to charge up to four devices at a time. The Dock can also be used to charge iPads and other tablets.

Charge Your Apple Watch

On top of charging four devices, the Dock can also charge your Apple Watch. The Apple Watch charging port is located atop the Dock’s central ring. Once set up the Apple Watch clips on magnetically to begin charging.

Setting up the Dock

Before you can charge you Apple Watch or iPhone 7, there is some set-up required. Using the chargers that already come with you devices you turn the Dock into your own personal charger. For phones and tablets, chargers are looped around the Dock’s removable bottom with the connector facing out. The same thing is done for the Apple Watch charging port, the charger is simply looped around the port and then covered.

Base Colors and LED Lighting

The Dock is not yet available in stores, but there are already four color options to choose from. At the moment the four offered colors are rose gold, gold, silver, and space grey. With these options users will have the ability to match their Dock to their new iPhone 7 upon its release. Giving the Dock even more color is the LED light in the central loop which can change to fit any mood.

Coming Soon

The Dock is not yet released. It is in the middle of a Kickstarter campaign, but the first line of production is likely to hit stores sometime this summer just ahead of a likely iPhone 7 release.
