In 2013, the world was graced with the classic pop number “All Gold Everything” by Trinidad James. Years, later, Apple is taking a page out of the rappers book by offering up all glass everything for their iPhone 7. If this doesn’t make any sense, here are five things to clear the air.
1. 9TO5MAC IS SURPRISINGLY ACCURATE
One wouldn’t be surprised if the guy behind 9to5Mac was the ghost of Steve Jobs himself. Their rumor mills are deceptively accurate, so when they release some news, you best listen. This time, the report comes from the best Apple analyst on the planet, Ming-Chi Kuo. He suggests that the Apple will be redesigning their smartphone completely. Will this show up on the iPhone 7?
2. SAY GOODBYE TO ALUMINIUM CHASSIS
Sadly, our favorite aluminum chassis will be gone. The famous design made quite a name for itself over the years, but Apple has decided it wants to bring back the all-glass enclosure. Perhaps they miss the extra income from repairing glass all the time. The all-glass everything iPhone will also feature the cutting edge OLED curved display.
3. iPHONE 7 WON’T BE SEEING THESE CHANGES
Just when the world is starting to get excited about the new iPhone 7, this rumor comes out. Unfortunately, this sleek redesign will come in 2017 and not 2016. For those that can’t wait until 2017, well, you won’t have an all-glass iPhone. If that’s really important to you, wait, or buy an iPhone 8 when it comes out. It’s that simple.
4. 2017 IS THE 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF THE IPHONE
Can you believe it’s been 10 years since you got your first iPhone? Well, this is assuming you’ve had an iPhone this entire time. If you haven’t it’s not too late to jump on the bandwagon. It really doesn’t take much to be an Apple fanboy so come on in! The iPhone 7 comes out soon and it makes sense Apple will wait for the 8th edition to make the monumental design in the 10th year.
5. APPLE MAY BE BUFFING UP THEIR GLASS
It turns out we may not have to worry about cracked glass again. The problem that plagued the glass iPhone 4 and 4s was one of the driving forces behind the switch to metal. However, thanks to Kuo’s report, he says Apple is working on making a stronger glass that won’t crack as easily. Until that happens, enjoy the iPhone 7 design while it lasts.
