Tesla to Destroy Volvo; What about Nissan Leaf? Clapway

Volvo seems to have a case of poor sport-ism as the brand has unleashed some harsh attacks against Tesla. The attack is a painful last-ditch effort at survival. It’s the classic fight-or-flight response. Unfortunately, the car maker’s efforts will be futile. Elon Musk isn’t known for failure. Anyone in his way might just meet an early death. Nissan Leaf, on the other hand, knows how to work the market.

VOLVO GOES WITH TEENAGER STRATEGY

Remember high school when teenagers used to fight? Looking back, the attacks were mostly void of any sound logic and filled with mindless insults at one’s physical appearance or flaws. Well, it seems Volvo is taking up that strategy against Tesla. According to the Swedish automaker’s senior technical leader, Tesla’s crash avoidance feature is a mess and much more inferior than that of the Volvo. In addition to that, Tesla apparently has an autopilot technology that’s laughable.

IS TESLA A WANNABE?

According to some people, they certainly are. Tesla’s autonomy is level 3, which means the driver will need to be at the ready for more intricate situations (oh, the horror). Volvo, on the other hand, is the fancy level 4. According to these people, drivers can fall asleep while Volvo takes care of the rest. Yeah, I guess we’ll see how that works if Volvo fails to hold up its end of the autonomous deal. Perhaps Tesla is inferior at this point, but judging by Tesla’s history, the brand has not disappointed yet. Will Musk destroy the Swedish automaker someday? Perhaps, but one car that is safe is Nissan Leaf.

NISSAN LEAF GOES ITS OWN WAY

Let’s back to the high school nostalgia comparisons. There was always that smart and the independent kid who blazed their own trail. They didn’t play chess with the nerds, smoke weed with the stoners or any of that. They did whatever they wanted and they were good at it. That’s what Nissan Leaf is all about. Often living in the shadow of Elon Musk, Nissan Leaf has been able to build a loyal army of electric car enthusiasts. They have realized their place in the market and have decided to own it. Oddly enough, Nissan Leaf has ended up competing with Musk and his newest models. The secret to their success is simple. They offer a quality product at a reasonable price. They also don’t talk smack like some Swedish car companies do.
