This is not a matter of what came first. Chicken and eggs have a long and troubled relationship with each other, and the Germans have only decided to make that even more complex. We’re talking long eggs here. What’s a long egg? Great question. Judging by this Youtube video, it seems to be a hardboiled egg but in the shape of a long, malleable cylinder. Perverts of the world will have a field day with this one but the Germans assure us that it’s used only for culinary purposes. Yeah, sure. So are cucumbers. Before you go thinking that German perverts have developed extra long chickens in Nazi labs in order to get their extra long eggs, take a breath. As seen on Youtube, it’s merely a process of creative engineering.

They say one has to crack some eggs to make an omelette. Well, one hs to crack even more eggs to make a hardboiled egg cylinder. Let’s leave the question of why one would want an elongated egg in the first place. The culinary detectives out there can think what they want. Let us just try to get passed the point that these egg scientists may be perverts. Maybe it’s just a method of convenience. Hardboiled eggs are time-consuming. Germans don’t have time for that process. They’re busy building amazing cars and brewing delicious beer. Yes, eggs are best left to science and what is more practical than a cylinder of eggs? The answer is nothing. Nothing at all.

This Youtube video is fascinating, yet somewhat concerning at the same time. Are our German friends getting a little bored? It’s been quite some time since WWII. They’ve cleaned up their act entirely and have become one of the most successful countries in the world once again. However, once can’t seem to think they could be putting their innovative ways to better use. Long eggs guys? Come on, surely there are more pressing issues out there Germany can solve. Why not make a YouTube video showing something a bit more productive? The world could use some better ideas instead of long eggs.
