The latest iPhone 7 leak has produced a series of photos of the smartphones final design. Originally found on Nowhereelse.fr, the alleged photos seem to differ a great deal from leaks in the past. Here are five of the new features that will excite Apple fans.
1. NO MORE ANTENNA LINES ON IPHONE
While these rumors have been consistent for the most part, the latest photos seem to confirm the absence of antenna lines on Apple’s iPhone. The plastic inserts on the back became a controversial eyesore amongst some fans. Fortunately for them, the latest phone will be made of a new material that will be able to hide the antennas without compromising reception quality.
2. APPLE AXES THE HEADPHONE JACK
In the first photo released by the leak, one can notice a fresh, new camera layout at the top. More on that later. Additionally, one will notice that no headphone jack is in sight. Rumors have been going every which way in regards to this concept but it now seems there is visual proof. Apple will forgo the headphone jack with the iPhone 7. Instead, audio will rely entirely on Bluetooth and the Lightning port.
3. TWO ADDITIONALÂ SPEAKER GRILLS
Apple already had two speaker grills on the previous iPhone. So why did they decide to add two more? At the moment, it’s not all that clear why four speakers are better than two but has some faith. The company has a decent history for a reason. For example, the iPad Pro has a comprehensive speaker system as well which has been met with praise from users. Maybe Cupertino is just as fed up with kids blasting music through those mediocre speakers as everyone else is.
4. WATERPROOF DESIGN
iPhone’s may not be resistant to Bromine, hydraulic presses or the FBI but Apple hopes to make the newest model at least waterproof. That’s not to say one should bring their smartphones deep sea diving to grab a selfie with Jaws but it’s good to know you won’t be out a few hundred dollars just from using Instagram in the rain.
5. ADVANCED DUAL CAMERA
Perhaps the feature most fans are excited about is the new dual camera. rumors have been circulating on this concept for quite some time and the latest photos look to support this claim. Pictures of other people’s lunches on Facebook will never look better.
