YouTube Teaches How to Cook An iPhone Sandwich Clapway

Another 100-foot drop challenge on YouTube puts the iPhone 6s to the test. If you have seen an iPhone dropped from crazy heights, or even seen it detonated with explosives, you were probably watching the GizmoSlip YouTube channel. The crew at GizmoSlip has really put the iPhone 6s to the test. There is the latest video, posted for all their nearly 2 million YouTube subscribers involves Subway, a 100-foot drop, and a 6s. Will this iPhone sandwich protect the brand new rose gold 6s from exploding on impact? Would the iPhone 7 fair much better, when released?

YouTube Viewers ‘Eat Fresh’

The newest iPhone 6s challenge by the GizmoSlip crew puts the Subway slogan, “eat fresh,” to the test. The YouTube video shows them at their usual drop location where they are stuffing a foot long with an iPhone. Interestingly, the sandwich went unwrapped before dropping it to the smooth pavement below. Will the 6s survive, or will the padded meat veggies and bread Subway keep it fresh? The slow motion playback is like sandwich tech art. Amazingly to many YouTube viewers disbelief, the Subway sandwich proved to be perfect protection. The screen was fully optional and despite a small hairline crack on the front edge, was mostly unharmed.

What’s Next for GizmoSlip?

The YouTube celebs from GizmoSlip may be running out of interesting things to stuff their iPhones in. And I am sure the cost of destroying iPhone 6s after 6s is quite expensive. They have placed their iPhones in pineapples, wrapped them in gummy worms and rubber bands, and even test dropped one with a watermelon. Most of their YouTube videos rack up nearly 10 million views each. Not bad for just dropping smartphones from 100 feet. But what’s next? Maybe dead animals they find on the side of the road? And will there be iPhone 7 test drops?

iPhone 7 vs. iPhone 6s

YouTube viewers may want to see how the iPhone 7 stacks up against the 6s in a few 100-foot drops. Once the next generation of Apple is launched, will the iPhone 7 do better in these insane challenges? The recent feature leaks could help us predict its defense success. Unfortunately, rumors Apple is dropping space gray is not good for the drop test. It will need all the space inspired stuff possible. The 7 may also be the thinnest iPhone yet. Making it more aerodynamic and could help protect it, or be stuffed more securely into a pineapple. Other rumored features like no home button or headphone jack may also add to its defenses from a 100-foot drop. We may just find out this September.
