According to a new study in the journal Nature, new microscopic robots have been created. Thes robots will deliver drugs, unclog arteries and perform incisions. Furthermore, they may even help improve upon human sperm.
MINI SPERM ROBOTS INSIDE OUR BODY
The goal of these robots is to develop small machines that can move around tight spaces. Additionally, they will perform medical operations in these small places. Because of their size, they will take over operations that are otherwise, too risky or unsafe. Originally, the little robots were inspired by origami. Hence, they ability to fold in many different ways to control how they swim.
FLEXIBLE SPERM BOTS HAVE NO MOTORS
The sperm-sized robots are flexible and lack any motorized structures. This is because of their material. The flexible material changes the robot’s shape and trajectory. Modeled after a certain bacteria, the robots use a tail for propulsion. When it enters the bloodstream, the trial has to promote survive. The mini robots perform a similar process as they sense temperature with a laser. When it senses heat, the robot then wraps its tail around its body. The robots are completely safe for a human body, even though the immune system might see it as a threat.
TIME TO TEST YOUR SPERM
If a little robot is going to be swimming inside your body, you better hope that it does the job. Your sperm count should increase. For peace of mind, however, it helps to get a fertility test. Something like SpermCheck is easy to use a home test kit that determines the concentration of your semen. Within minutes you’ll know if the count is within its normal range. Ideally, the count should be above 20 million. If not, though, it’s back inside for the mini robot so it can squirm around your insides.
