Science and religion have never gotten along that well but if there’s one thing they can both come together on, it’s Planet X. Officially called Nibiru, the exoplanet is believed to harbor alien life of some sorts. At least that’s what NASA thinks. The Pope, on the other hand, believes the planet holds the key to the future of mankind. Here are 10 secret facts to know about it.

Although Planet X (Nibiru) is generating a lot of news these days, it’s been known for some time. Researchers believe that Planet X was first discovered sometime around 1983 by NASA. More than a decade later, an AP article called the planet “rebellious”. By this, they mean it breaks all the rules of how and where planets form.
From a religious standpoint, the Pope thinks Nibiru will eventually veer off course and collide with Earth, killing us all. That in itself is a rebellious act as well.

Of course, if these questions are answered, the Pope would be disproven as well. The Bible makes no mention of dinosaurs.

The Kolbrin is a parallel bible found in the monastery of Glastonbury in Scotland. In this Bible, they make reference to a vicious planet called “The Destroyer”. This Planet X is bright, fierce and constantly changing. According to the bible, Nibiru “The Destroyer” will mean the end of days here on Earth. For those following the Pope, you’ll recognize he too believes Nibiru will doom civilization someday.
NASA also agrees with this sentiment. If Planet X ever came close to Earth, it would cause large earthquakes, tsunamis, eruptions and other major natural disasters.

According to the ancient texts, Planet X is covered in a dust cloud made of iron oxide red. This, in turn, will make the rivers and lakes a reddish color. NASA has confirmed that if Nibiru were to exist, it would be far hotter than Earth and likely uninhabitable to us humans. That’s not to say another species didn’t’ evolve, though.
