Google released Tilt Brush in 2014 as one of the first VR painting experiences. Virtual technology continues to improve and now, the game is getting some new features such as multiplayer mode and an in-game art exhibit.
VR GOOGLE TILT BRUSH MAKES ART FUN WITH FRIENDS
Art is fun on its own but it’s, even more, fun with friends. It looks like Google discovered this notion as well which is why they just released a new prototype of Tilt Brush that allows one to share their artistic, VR creations with others. While this multiplayer feature isn’t available yet, developers are exploring different ways to develop the concept even further. The game is only available for HTC Vice at the moment, because of controller restraints on Oculus.
VR GOOGLE TILT BRUSH CREATES VIRTUAL ART GALLERY
Besides making cool VR creations with friends, the multiplayer feature gives aspiring artist san outlet to share their work. Hence, Google created a virtual art gallery of sorts. Here, friends can create freely and show the world their skills. In addition to the multiplayer feature, Tilt Brush is also an experiment in building a creative platform. Developers are experimenting with features like custom avatars so users can create their own look, Portal brush and even look into the real world using HTC Vive’s front camera and a few other techniques.
VR GOOGLE TILT BRUSH IS THE FUTURE OF ART
Updates are nothing new to this game but this one is particularly significant. It shows the huge potential for increasing the scale of creation and also adding in advanced collaboration. The future of virtual reality is shaping up nicely. It’s still such a new world but new possibilities continue to present themselves. We now know that art has a future in virtual reality and a good one at that.
