Tesla and Solarcity to Make Con Edison Obsolete? Clapway

Tesla CEO Elon Musk just announced Friday his new idea that hopes to combine the benefits of his electric car with the solar panel innovator SolarCity Corp. Together, they hope to change the way we use energy in the world. Hence, putting companies like Con Edison out of business in the process.

TESLA AND SOLARCITY CREATE NEW PLAN TO CHANGE THE WORLD; CON EDISON IS SCARED

This past Friday, Tesla announced what they call the “Powerwall 2”. The Powerwall eliminates the need for traditional solar panels and other long-lasting batteries. By pairing up with SolarCity Corp. Musk hopes to provide a lifestyle free of fossil fuels both on the road and in the house. The rollout of this new product is expected as soon as next summer. Meanwhile, Con Edison hopes to compete.

TESLA AND SOLARCITY TO BECOME ONE; CON EDISON FIGHTS FOR SURVIVAL

It’s not a matter of if Tesla and SolarCity will combine forces to become one company, it’s simply a matter of when. Together, they will be highly influential and some of the biggest names in electricity are looking for ways to fight back. Take Consolidated Edison for example. Just yesterday, they announced their plan to install rooftop solar panels to help poor New Yorkers. To do this, Con Edison is offering use of its own rooftops to help those in need, access renewable energy.

TESLA, SOLARCITY AND CON EDISON IN THE FUTURE

It’s safe to say that most people agree that harnessing energy from the sun opposed to fossil fuels is better for the environment. So why doesn’t everyone have a solar panel? Well, the issue here (like most things in life) is money. Hopefully, Elon Musk’s new plan will offer an affordable way to replace roofs with sustainable solar panels. Only then, will a new generation of energy become the norm?
