Kanye West Is Still Getting Played Hard By Nike

Kanye West Is Still Getting Played Hard By Nike

Remember that time Kanye West released his Nike diss track on New Years Eve 2015? At the time, it was pretty hilarious but looking back, Kanye didn’t make out as well as he thought. In the end, it was the iconic sportswear company that came out on top.

Kanye West Is Still Getting Played Hard By Nike

KANYE WEST WILL NEVER TOP NIKE

Kanye West had his shot with Nike but things didn’t work out; so he moved to the competition. With Adidas, West launched his overly hyped YEEZY line. The shoes sold out in no time at all and people lined up all over the world. Despite this seemingly massive success, it’s hard to beat the top footwear brand in the world. Even just beating the Jordan Brand would be impressive but West is still nowhere near that mark.

KANYE WEST THINKS DRAKE IS KEEPING NIKE ALIVE

Kanye West went on to sing in his diss track that Drake and Don C. are the only things keeping Nike alive. Sure, they are certainly helping but come on Kanye. Do you really think Drake alone is keeping the company on track to reach $50 billion in sales by 2020? Not even close. The fact is, the company is just too big to fail. But if calling them names makes Kanye feel better, maybe we just let him do that.

KANYE WEST BLAMES JAMES HARDEN FOR NIKE WINNING

Jame Harden and Adidas inked a $200 million deal that is one of the largest in history. Kanye thinks this money is keeping YEEZY from taking the top spot in footwear but once again, he is mistaken. As popular as Adidas is, they’re a long way from beating the famous “swoosh” symbol in the game of basketball. With people like Kobe Bryant and LeBron James, Russell Westbrook and Kyrie Irving under its wing, not many people stand a chance.
