With Nintendo recently starting to experiment with mobile gaming, they needed to find a way to link mobile games and console games data. Well, Nintendo has done just that with their latest announcement. Nintendo has officially announced that they have opened registration for their Nintendo Account in Japan. However, Nintendo has not stated when it will be released in North America.
WHAT IS THIS NINTENDO ACCOUNT?
Basically, what Nintendo said this account will do is link all console, PC, and mobile gaming data that they have. They said that it will use a cloud-based data service that will accomplish transferring all the data. More details have been released in Japan, but whenever they decide to release the account in the U.S there will probably be more details. The main thing to know is that this is a service used for anyone who wants to transfer game data. More might be announced and explained down the road, but for now it is very broad.
NINTENDO ANNOUNCES MY NINTENDO
Not only did Nintendo announce that their Nintendo Account was opening up registration in Japan, but they also announced that they are going to launch what is known as My Nintendo. Nintendo has only stated that this will be a brand new rewards program of some kind. They have not said anything else besides that. Nintendo usually likes keeping their customers in the dark, as is the case with them refusing to talk about the Nintendo NX.
PEOPLE IN THE US WILL HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE NINTENDO ACCOUNT
Patience will be a virtue for any fans waiting for this account in the United States. Nintendo seems really good at making their fans be patient! Although, this does keep fans always on their tails when Nintendo comes out and reveals more news about their products. This can almost be thought of as Nintendo’s ultimate strategy!
