Chevrolet and Ford have their two newest versions of their Malibu and Fusion respectively. The Chevrolet Malibu and the Ford Fusion both are looking like they have a lot of positives. They both look pretty good, but let us compare them shall we?
CHEVROLET MALIBU 2016 AND FORD FUSION 2016 STARTING PRICE AND FUEL ECONOMY
The starting price for both of these cars is fairly similar. However, Ford’s vehicle is a little cheaper. According to Ford, their Ford Fusion 2016 has a starting price of $22,110. However, Chevrolet has their vehicle a little more expensive. According to Chevrolet, the starting price for their Malibu 2016 is $28,645. So, Ford has the advantage there with a cheaper price. However, the Malibu has the Fusion beat with fuel economy. Chevrolet has their new Malibu listed as having a combined mpg of 46.5. This is compared to the Ford Fusion having 38 combined mpg. Both are really good, but the Malibu is a little better with fuel.

The marketing director of Chevrolet cars mentioned how this new Malibu will integrate technology directly from the second generation Volt. They say it comes with a MyLink radio and will have a 7-inch wide color touch screen. They also say that Apple CarPlay will be implemented into the system as well as a rear vision camera. As far as Ford goes, they say on their website page that their new Ford Fusion will have a lithium-ion battery along with a 2-liter Atkinson-cycle-I-4 gas engine. They also state that they will have a rear view camera.

One of the coolest features the company said their new Malibu would have is something that parents with teenagers could use. They call it Teen Driver and it allows parents to mute any device that their teenager has if their seat belt is not on. Also, the vehicle will portray information on how the teenager drove the car. Any sixteen-year-old kid who gets this new Chevrolet Malibu 2016 for their birthday better beware!
FORD FUSION 2016 OTHER FEATURES
The Ford Fusion has some new cool features of its own. The company states that their next-generation SmartGauge system will allow real-time details about the efficiency of the vehicle. This way, if performance for the car is down, for whatever reason, it can detect right away in real-time. The inside also has a leather interior with projected laser-cut halogen headlamps.
FORD FUSION 2016 OR CHEVROLET MALIBU 2016?
Well, now that we know the details, which one is better? This is not an easy choice because both of these cars look really good. The cheaper price of the Ford Fusion is a big aspect, but the Chevrolet Malibu 2016 has better fuel economy. Both cars will feature great technology and features. However, I would buy the Ford Fusion before the Malibu. This is mainly due to the price and the fact that I have always been a Ford fan. Even though it does not have quite as good miles per gallon, 38 is still ridiculously good.
