A project out of Wichita, US is bringing the coolest ever 3D light. If you ever wanted to get the Northern Lights or the moon inside your house, you don’t need NASA equipment. This emerging technology makes lights more beautiful and greener for everyone to enjoy.
3D Lights Are No Stranger to the Market
Although this technology is not new, it is still amazing. The Luna Light currently comes in three shapes: an infinity sign, two hearts or a dolphin. However, as this technology grows, so will the light selection. We could even find ourselves with a light shaped like the Moon in 3D in our homes.
Lights in Space Have Always Fascinated People
Humans are also no stranger to light phenomena. Space is a beautiful expanse of things we don’t know, and lights in space have always been a fascinating concept. 3D lights have mostly been seen in Hollywood films. They are especially notable in films out of Marvel and the Star Wars series, where 3D lights form a great part of the franchise’s magic.
The Moon, The Stars and 3D Lights in Pop Culture
Thanks to the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, everyone wants to take home their own lightsaber. This is one step closer to getting that kind of technology. Although the Luna Light doesn’t yet feature pop culture characters, the technology is definitely trendy. We may see a lot more of those lights in coming years. The Star Wars franchise will be releasing one more trilogy to add to the books, so lights, space and lightsabers are going to be all the hype for a while.
The Luna Light is a small project with very big dreams. There are other lights on the market, like the Luna Lantern, that take the actual shape of the moon. The dimmable light comes in several different sizes and can be hung, bounced around or left to rest anywhere in the home.
Does the Space Trend Ever End?
There is news about space, about the universe, flooding on media outlets every day. This is mostly because there is very little that we actually know about it. With projects like Luna Light, we can come to interact with these phenomena. Maybe one day they will team up with NASA and feature a whole roster of lights shaped like space phenomena. How cool would it be to have a miniature version of the Northern Lights shining in your room? Or hyperrealistic Saturn? The possibilities are endless.
