Although Uber has gained a lot of popularity in the last couple of years, they have their skeptics.
We are not talking about taxi drivers either, but customers that have been completely disgusted with what Uber had to offer. There are many reasons why people feel the way that they do, and here are the top three.
REASON 1
On a blog post, on the internet, there was a lady who shared her disturbing experience with Uber. The female passenger noted how she was taken on a two-hour ride, and she was taken to an empty parking lot at 5 in the morning. It almost sounds like it was a kidnapping, but after she had alerted Uber of this situation they stated it was simply an inefficient route. This seems very fishy, and it seems like the driver of that car was trying to pull off something very despicable.
REASON 2
Would it terrify you if I told that you that Uber knows exactly who you are? Various news reports have suggested that this company has access to an internal tool that allows them to track their customers. Companies have been known to use tools like this, but it still does not mean it is right. As a matter of fact, Johana Bhuiyan was actually told by the company that her journey was tracked.
REASON 3
The last major reason that some customers have been dissatisfied with Uber is their pay system. The company has their very own algorithm on calculating payment, but it can be inconsistent. This is mostly proven when the weather outside is bad because customers have been known to pay up to seven times the normal rate. This is absolutely ludicrous, and it is a cheap way for the company to increase their sales. However, this could backfire because if enough people become sick of them, Uber will be in deep water.
