Sex is an activity that can ruin relationships, make people animals, and also can express love. Anyway you want to look at it, it has its benefits and it has its faults. There are also some absolutely ridiculous facts about it that will make you question life.
FACT 1
Back when slavery was at its peak, there was a lot of “forced sex” that was going on. I guess you can call this rape, but you get the point. One of the best examples of this was with the Roman society. The men and women who were captured were auctioned off to the highest bidder. Once the highest bidder had a hold of their slave, they would only think of sex. This led to Romans having sex with their slaves at an absolutely ridiculous rate. The weird part is they did not care about the gender, age, or looks of their slaves.
FACT 2
As long as you have access to the internet, you can find pornography. However, if you lived back in the Roman times you would be able to see this anywhere you walk. There was one statue that actually showed the God Pan having sex with a goat. Pretty much everywhere that people would walk there would be a penis waiting for them. Due to the ideals of the Romans about fertility, this was considered fine.
FACT 3
We continue to look at the Roman times with our last fact, and this one has to do with punishment. Vicki Leon, a historian, noted that Romans were fans of unusual punishments. So, if someone had sex with your wife, then you could legally sodomize them. This is the epitome of unusual punishment, but if anybody has sex with another man’s wife they may deserve it. Again, sex can turn people into unhinged lunatics, and it is in an activity that needs to be taken in moderation.
