FIRST SCAM ON CRAIGSLIST: A BOX OF ROCKS

This first scam is very interesting because police have actually started to seek information about it. As the police explain it, the potential buyers will meet up with the sellers in a parking lot. The sellers will then leave them what appears to be a factory sealed box. However, when the buyers open up the box all they will find is a box of rocks. The only issue is the suspects would have already left at that point, and then the buyers get scammed. How can someone be satisfied with doing this to another human being?

SECOND SCAM ON CRAIGSLIST: THE MAN WHO LOST NEARLY $2,500

When it comes to selling your car on Craigslist, you need to be cautious. Just ask Harry Harphant why you need to do this, and then get back with me. Anyway, Harphant put his 2001 Honda Prelude on Craigslist for $3,000. Then, a man who was interested in buying his car decided to text him. They communicated back and forth and were about ready to strike a deal. The man told Harphant that he would send him a check for $5,000, and this would cover both the base price and shipping. He then received the check and wired $2,400 to the supposed shipper. However, once he checked his account he was notified that the check bounced and the funds were no good.
