Destiny Updates: Fans Are Not Happy Enough

Destiny Updates: Fans Are Not Happy Enough Clapway

The new April updates for Destiny have been released, but we still can’t help to feel a little dissatisfied. This is not to say that the inclusion of Challenge of the Elders, the Blighted Chalice strike, and the Winters Run strike were not good additions, but it just wasn’t enough. Most Destiny fans will probably agree that the April updates released for the game did little to “freshen” the game up.

THE APRIL UPDATES FOR DESTINY

Again, what was added to this game is not necessarily bad. For one, the addition of the Challenge of the Elders was a nice touch. This is basically a reworking of Prison of Elders and is fought over three rounds, each of which end in a boss fight. Every single Tuesday, this end-game activity will reset and will wipe your cumulative score. The one new strike and one revamped strike that were added were the Blighted Chalice strike and Winters Run strike, respectively. The boss of the former is Malok, a Taken hulk, and the boss of the latter is the Archon Priest.

DESTINY SHOULD TAKE A PAGE FROM FINAL FANTASY XIV

Obviously, Destiny and Final Fantasy XIV don’t have too much in common, other than both being online video games. However, Final Fantasy XIV has had much more consistent updates as far as adding content goes. In the summer of 2015, they first released an expansion and then around a month later they added their first new raid. Then, a mere four months later they released their second raid. Lastly, just two months ago they added another new section to their first raid. This is not even mentioning the new dungeons, side quests, and PvP additions.

IS BUNGIE SHIFTING THEIR FOCUS TO THE NEXT DESTINY GAME?

One must ask at this point, is Bungie over the first Destiny game? Well, way back in February, on their official website, Bungie mentioned that they are focused on delivering a full sequel to the game in 2017. This is something that all fans of this game should keep in mind moving forward.
