Cinch Gaming wants to help make you a better gamer with their smart controller the Cinch Tech. If you’re tired of being out-flanked, outmanned, and out-played, Cinch Tech may be the answer to your problems. The controller, which is currently in development for Xbox One, reads how you play and gives you feedback based on your playing style. At the moment, there is no word on a PS4 release.
It’s All in the Data
With Cinch Gaming’s mobile app, Xbox One players will be able to track everything they do in the game. The app collects data from the controller via Bluetooth. Players can then compare their stats to the stats of other players and professional gamers. With this data in hands, players can see what they do differently from others and adjust accordingly.
Building Off of the Xbox One: Elite Controller
With the Xbox One Elite controller, Microsoft has embraced competitive gaming. The new controller brought improved grips and the much-welcomed addition of paddles on the back side of the controller. The paddles gave players the ability to remap their controller to their liking. The Cinch Tech builds off this with paddles of their own, and also allows players to remap their controls from their phone. Players can save multiple control preferences for all the different games they play. As the Xbox One moves forward with a focus on competitive gaming it will be interesting to see what changes come to the PS4. At the moment, Sony has yet to announce any changes to their PS4 controller.
PS4 Falling Behind? A Shift in Demand
Cinch Gaming is currently putting their focus into shooters on the Xbox One. Their main focus falls on popular shooter Call of Duty. Other titles which gamers will be able to track their stats include Halo, Gears of War, Battlefield, and Rocket League. Sony claims to have sold 36 million PS4 consoles as of January, but Microsoft’s focus on competitive gaming could drive some gamers away from the PS4 if Sony doesn’t respond.
