DNP was once used extensively in diet pills from 1933 and 1938. Since then, some dangerous effects have been related. Case reports show that a just small dose of 20-50 mg per kilogram of body weight for humans can be deadly. Hence, DNP discontinued by 1939 in the U.S. Yes, these drugs continue to be popular amongst bodybuilders and athletes in hope to rapidly lose body fat. Obviously, they have more brawn than brains.
