See How Tesla And EasyJet Are The Future Of Aviation

Elon Musk wants to be in your homes, your cars and even on Mars. But now, he also has his eyes on the aviation industry. Big time European carrier EasyJet just announced they are joining forces with an American startup to build a fully-electric aircraft. It won’t be long before Tesla joins the party.

TESLA AND EASYJET THINKING SMALL FOR NOW

Tesla has big dreams but thanks to technology, they’re limited to small steps for right now. EasyJet and their electric airplane are no different. Working together with American startup company Wright Electric, the European carrier has plans to introduce short flights of 335 miles or less on their new electric aircraft. So flying from Boston to New York is nothing too crazy now, but this is just the beginning.

EASYJET HAS BIG PLANS; WILL TESLA JOIN?

As just mentioned, flying 335 miles on an electric airplane is a step in the positive direction but EasyJet has bigger plans in store. At the moment, they are a budget airline that specializes in quick flights. Furthermore, they say the new aircraft will cover 20% of passenger flights.

Along with Wright Electic, they hope to expand and create an entirely electric commercial aircraft up and running within ten years. Does this mean Tesla Airways is coming?

HERE IS WHY TESLA WILL JOIN EASYJET

It’s no secret that Elon Musk is a large proponent of electric energy. It’s also no secret that he’s a savvy entrepreneur. If there is an opportunity to include electric energy, it’s likely that Musk will be in the race.

Just like the automotive industry, airlines are looking to save money and reduce our environmental footprint. At the moment, electric energy is the best way to do that. If you think Elon Musk is going to sit on the sidelines and watch this all fly by him without getting involved, then you’re seriously mistaken.
