Rogue AI. It’s everyone’s worst nightmare. You all know the story. If you don’t, then just watch Terminator and you’ll understand. But that’s just a movie, right? Evil robots aren’t actually going to take over the world…or are they? Some say it’s happening right now and they’re using Bitcoin to enslave us all.
IS BITCOIN ROGUE AI A SERIOUS THREAT?
It’s one thing if some single, 45-year-old man living in his mom’s basement and surviving only off of peanut butter sandwiches says “Rogue AI is a huge threat” but what if it’s someone we all respect? Elon Musk is helping to spread the fear of evil robots taking over the world but is there any truth to his logic? Stuart Russell, a professor of comp.sci at the University of California thinks Musk has some good points on the topic. However, it’s not the sci-fi novel we all are dreaming about.
ROGUE AI WILL NOT KILL US ALL; BITCOIN WILL?
In regards to AI, Elon Musk doesn’t think they’ll take control and murder us all in our sleep. However, he does suggest that the U.S. government needs to have some sort of commission that monitors AI. It’s not really rogue AI that’s the issue. It’s rogue politicians. So please, get that crazy idea that robots are trying to dismantle the economy with bitcoin so we all become poor and reliant on them for survival. That’s simply not happening. Instead, bitcoin will help us work hand in hand with technology to create a brighter future and here’s how.

Elon Musk is right. We should be prepared for the future of technology but not afraid it. So next time Facebook steals your information and uses it for advertising, don’t blame your iPhone.
