Qatar: An Intimate Photo Essay

Qatar, a little country bordered by the Persian Gulf and Saudi Arabia, is known around the world for investing money in companies, sport clubs, and buildings, as well as for exploiting inexpensive foreign labor. But who are the Qatari people, really? What do they look like? What is their way of life, and their habits?

For a week, I explored Qatar’s Doha area and a city 50kms up north called Al-Khor to catch particular moments of life by capturing images of people – women, men, their habits, modernity, and urban areas with vast empty spaces in order to understand all the aspects of the Arab country, which resides in Western Asia. Below, the photo report of my Qatari experience.
