What is flying Tesla and why is it trendy? Tesla has become well-known for their super expensive and high-tech cars, and here come some more. Elon Musk, a known entertainer, recently announced the next generation high-end Tesla Roadster. This supercar has four seats, and by 2020, it will be able to go up to 250 miles per hour.
Flying Tesla: Roadster is for the rich
Tesla Roadster is going to cost a whopping $250,000. This car is definitely not for the cheapskates or even the middle class. To snatch this bad boy, you should have a cool quarter million in your pocket! Musk says that Roadster’s “base model” will go from 0 to 100 MPH in 1.9 seconds and that it will be a special package that will take the car to next level. So, what is “the next level?”
Flying Tesla: Flying car?
Musk says that the next level car might be able to fly short hops. There’s no guarantee that the car will be able to fly, but it’s apparently possible. Musk adds that when rocket technology is combined with cars, we can soon have flying cars. It’s a question of safety, obviously, as we can’t have flying cars crashing into each other in a Walmart parking lot.
Flying Tesla: So, what does the Air Force say?
Obviously, the Air Force hasn’t exactly commented on “flying cars,” as they’re not a reality just yet. Though we’ve seen flying cars in movies, it may be a bit too far-fetched to think that rocket power in a car would make this an issue for the Air Force. Will we have fancy Tesla cars flying alongside Air Force Hornets? Would these Tesla cars be able to run down Air Force planes in the future? We doubt it. But, as we know, anything is possible; just give it time! This would certainly be an interesting scenario, and if nothing else, at least a great idea for a movie.
