Worst U.S. Airports For Holiday Travel

With the complaint that is traveling during the busy winter months comes the much-dreaded symptom of delayed flights. All together now: Woe is us. Anyway, to help guide travelers avoid the distress of lingering overnight in airports, or not having a clue as to when their flight might be rescheduled for, travel site Hopper has arranged a list of the U.S.’s top 20 airports to avoid during the year’s colder holiday months.

“In order to find out, we analyzed this year’s flight search data to determine the 20 most popular airports during the winter months,” the site states. “These airports account for about 75% of flight search during winter months and are likely to be the busiest.”

“We then looked at the Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) figures on airport delays,” they added.
