Blizzard Entertainment has announced the release date for StarCraft 2 Legacy of the Void, where the Protoss claim back their home planet, Aiur. This is the third and final installment of the StarCraft trilogy, which first started in 1998, and as far as the campaign has shown, Blizzard Entertainment has paid great homage to the characters of the StarCraft series.
In the new StarCraft (StartCraft 2 Legacy of the Void), gamers will play Hierarch Artanis, the leader of the protoss race. After the fall of Aiur at the hands of the Swarm, Artanis has raised a fleet of warships called the Golden Armada, and it is time for Aiur to be reclaimed. Gamers will be faced with Amon, the main threat to the entire galaxy. The game comes with multiplayer features, including co-op missions, automated tournaments and archon mode, a two player single base control feature.
The game will roll out as of November 10th for Windows and OS, but players can play a prologue campaign, where players join Zeratul on three missions to unravel the final piece of the Xel’naga prophecy. Excitement for the game is high and tense, as Blizzard has brought in graphics that have seen a tremendous upgrade, and this final installment of the series is sure to make fans proud and bring in new ones.
