New iPad Pro to Make Record Sales

Analysts predict that the release of the new iPad Pro will likely make up for 15% of Apple’s total revenue in 2016. As it currently stands, the iPad lineup consists of about 10% of Apple’s revenue, and sales have been in decline since 2014, but the new iPad Pro may reverse it all.

The fall in sales for the iPad

The fall in sales for the iPad series can be tied to the slower update cycle than any other Apple device, which usually get upgraded every year to eighteen months. The fact that iPhones have gotten larger screens can also be attached to this decline in sales, as well as the release of new Macbook models. However, in specs and use, and judging by the great marketing Tim Cook has given the device, the new iPad Pro has the potential to give Apple significant revenue.

The iPad has had a great run internationally

The iPad has had a great run internationally, with most of Chinese consumers having the iPad either as their first ever tablet or first Apple product, so the trend will hopefully both continue and rise as the new iPad Pro starts rolling out later this week.

Analysts also believe that iPhone sales will also exceed expectations for 2016. There are rumors that Apple will be releasing a streaming television service in the first half of next year, and that Apple’s sales in China will see a $100 billion increase. With Apple’s move for clean energy manufacturing in China, it’s only natural that Chinese popularity will continue to increase and the new iPad Pro will be fully embraced once it reaches their market.
