Apple is rumored to be releasing an iPhone 7C or iPhone mini, a 4-inch model to meet the demand for a smaller smartphone. According to The Week, it’s likely that this phone will be released as a cheaper alternative to the upcoming iPhone 7.
A Smaller, Metal Cased iPhone 7C or iPhone 7 Mini
The device is rumored to start production in the first half of 2016 to be released at the same time as the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, and unlike the iPhone 5C, the phone is rumored to be metal-cased and powered by an A9 SoC processor, like the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. The smaller build may have to come with some features sacrificed, most likely the 3D Touch feature. The idea of an iPhone 7C will definitely appeal to many despite the loss of certain features.
The Idea of an iPhone 7C or iPhone 7 Mini is Enticing
One of the main criticisms for the iPhone 6 series was the larger screen, so this will definitely make for an attractive and potentially cheaper option for Apple fanatics that do not require such a large space to operate.
Most of this is still speculation, but there is a significant chance of this becoming a reality. Apple has had a very tight lip in regards to its upcoming phone series, but the iPhone 7C would make for a great addition to Apple’s inventory.
