The new iPad Pro has already been subject to drop and bend tests, and it looks like whatever technology was implemented in to the glass screen to make it compatible with the Apple Pencil made it the most durable iPad yet. Despite it all, though, a 6-foot drop will easily render the device useless.
The New iPad Pro Can Take a Few Punches
The new iPad Pro can easily survive a 3-foot drop with no damage to the screen or the device’s functionality, and it won’t bend by itself like the iPhone 6 was famously doing. Unless one is looking to bend the iPad Pro on purpose, it looks like it won’t be an easy feat.
The new iPad Pro Won’t Survive a 6 Foot Drop, but the Screen Won’t Crack
Recent drop tests have revealed that the new iPad Pro can’t work after a 6 foot drop, but the screen won’t crack! That’s great news on the technology Apple is using for its upcoming device’s screens.
iPad Pro Already in Stores
This gives people plenty of hope when it comes to the iPhone 7, which will hopefully incorporate the same or similar technology. The iPad Pro is currently shipping out to customers who pre-ordered it, and is otherwise available in Apple Stores and Best Buys for a starting price of $950.
