The Original Pokemon Blue, Red, and Yellow Coming to 3DS in 2016

The 3DS eShop is going to get a huge boost as it will soon feature the original Pokemon Blue, Red, and Yellow video games in 2016. For any Pokemon fans of the 1990’s, this news should get you completely stoked. Nintendo has announced that these games will hit the eShop on February 27th, 2016.

NO CHANGES AT ALL TO THE GAMES

Sometimes when companies re-release their vintage games online or on other consoles they tweak them in a certain way. However, Nintendo has not decided to do that as they have stated that they will not make any changes to the original games as they will stay in their original black and white format. New gamers who have never played these vintage Pokemon games will get to see just how gamers in the 1990’s played these games with no color. This is a great decision by Nintendo because it will give all adult fans a huge nostalgia rush when they go back and play these original Pokemon games and give new fans a taste of how it felt to play video games back in the day. The only thing that will change for this game, is Pokemon can now be traded via Wi-Fi and not via the original Game Link cable that was used for the original Game Boy. This will make it a lot easier to trade Pokemon with other people across the globe. However, nothing about the actual game itself will be altered and that is a good thing.

MORE GAMES LIKE THIS PLEASE!

Nintendo has always done a good job of putting amazing game titles on their respective stores for the 3DS and the Wii U. It is always awesome to be able to play your favorite video games from years ago digitally. Old games can be extremely hard to find sometimes, so playing them digitally is more convenient. Now obviously owning the original game on its original platform is always the preferred way, but again finding them can be near impossible at times and if they are found you will most likely have to spend a pretty penny for them. So for Nintendo to add three vintage Pokemon games that were on the original Game Boy to their eShop is a huge deal. This is a good day for Nintendo as they have no doubt made many fans happy with this news.
