WHAT IS VALKYRIA CHRONICLES?

For those of you that are unaware, Valkyria Chronicles was a role playing game that was released in 2008. It was noted as being a different kind of RPG and having a very different visual style. According to various review and gaming sites across the web, Valkyria Chronicles was not well received when it debuted in 2008. However, a remastered version of the original game will hopefully change the opinions of the people who played the original. Valkyria Chronicles is not only getting a remaster, but is also getting a sequel. The sequel that is being released, Valkyria: Azure Revolution, according to its visuals could reportedly take place before the times of the original Valkyria Chronicles. Reports have noted that the visuals suggest that this could be more of a prequel than a sequel, but only time will tell. No official news has been released on when these games will be released, but reports have indicated that news could be leaked on December 3rd. It will be very interesting to see more news about these two new Valkyria Chronicles in the coming months.

ANY EXCITEMENT FOR THESE GAMES?

With the reported lack of reception from the gaming community for the original Valkyria Chronicles back in 2008, there is two questions that beg to be answered. Why be excited about a game being remastered that was not well received in the first place and will the sequel fix the problems in the original? The first question is the more interesting one and one that really needs to be addressed. While a remastered version of a game can indeed improve on visuals, gameplay, and other aspects, but how much can it really improve? There is still reason for excitement due to the fact that not all people disliked the original Valkyria Chronicles and the fact that a sequel has been announced. As mentioned previous, no news has been released on Valkyria: Azure Revolution, but next month more details could arise. Some people like sequels and some people do not, but no matter what a sequel will always have a chance to fix the problems that were present in the original game.
