Jeff Bezos, Amazon founder, has one-upped SpaceX with Blue Origin, by making a successful first landing of the New Shepard rocket. This is the first reusable rocket to land safely on Earth, something Elon Musk’s SpaceX could not even fathom.

Blue Origin, a side project much like Elon Musk’s SpaceX, is now an official contender for the space race. The company hired its first in-house lobbyist and is now shelling cash to get Blue Origin on par with everyone else looking to explore a planet beyond our own.
Bezos recorded the event via Twitter, in a style much like Elon Musk. He even threw some shade at SpaceX, saying that rocket building, when done right, shouldn’t have to be expensive.
Blue Origin Should Be Taken Seriously
Privatized space flight is a sure reality, and it’s looking out to be a seriously large business. SpaceX was contracted by NASA to transport their astronauts to and from space for a nice $2.6 billion, and it did the same with Boeing for $4.2 billion. If Blue Origin plays its cards right, it can get even more money and only use a fraction of it to build their equipment. Now that is going green as it should be done.
