On November 30th, students from twelve different countries came together for the first international BMW Group Student Forum. They discussed the challenges and possible solutions for urban mobility with a team of BMW experts. The students were all at university levels from schools in Brazil, China, Chile, Germany, France, India, the UK, Russia, Canada, South Korea, Serbia and the United States.

The hot topic was electro-mobility, along with car-sharing, automated driving as well as IT services for the aforementioned urban mobility solutions. BMW Joins American Business Act on Climate Pledge

The American Business Act on Climate Pledge promises to fight climate change through real measures, and over 100 businesses from the United States have joined the initiative. The fact that the BMW Group has joined the initiative indicates that it has set new targets for its locations in the US.

The group is attending a few conferences in Paris this year. The company is looking to get as involved as possible in on-site discussions. BMW’s Peter Schwartzenbauer will be speaking at the Sustainable Innovation Forum 2015, discussing urban mobility. There are a lot of challenges that come from this topic, and hopefully the conference can draw real solutions to them. Having a greener planet is more important now than it has ever been before, and BMW is making a big step in trying to make a difference.
