Virgin Galactic doesn’t give up on Space

Virgin Galactic is not done yet. They have officially announced that they are planning on launching satellites from their Boeing 747. They also announced that they will have a LauncherOne rocket that will be mounted under the aircraft’s wing. This will provide a high-altitude platform for the aircraft.

THE COMPANY OF VIRGIN GALACTIC COMMENTS

The CEO of Virgin Galactic, George Whitesides, said in a statement a few reasons why they chose the platform that they did. Whitesides mentions how this airframe will provide the company with a more substantial payload. He also says that it will allow the company to not have to spend more money than is needed. He also commented and said that this will allow them to provide their satellite customers with fast responses to their needs. This aircraft will also be able to handle nearly 900 pounds of payloads.

ANOTHER MEMBER OF VIRGIN GALACTIC THRILLED

The founder of Virgin Galactic, Richard Branson, is absolutely thrilled that they got their aircraft back online. They said that its name is Cosmic Girl. Branson voices out on how excited he is to see one of their 747 aircraft’s go back in space. He mentions how he never thought it would happen and that this gives Cosmic Girl another chance to succeed. This is great for Virgin Galactic. All companies love second chances for their products to succeed, and hopefully Cosmic Girl will.

NO NEWS ON WHEN VIRGIN GALACTIC WILL LAUNCH

All that we know now is the fact that they will launch this aircraft. However, it is not been revealed by the company when they will do it. One would think that it will be soon given how excited the company is. However, all precautions need to be made and it can not be launched until it is 100 percent safe. When that day comes it will surely be exciting for all space enthusiasts around the world.
