BMW Group has announced a new record sales for November of 2015, having sold 197,480 vehicles worldwide. Taking these numbers, BMW Group sales are at 2,033,948 for the whole year. Volkswagen, however, is struggling with year-end sales after their emissions scandal.
BMW Group Sales Are Up 5.6%
The best customer response, according to the firm’s board of management, came from the BMW X6 and B,X i3. A lot of the increase is also credited to the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer, and the B,W 4 Series Gran Coupe and the BMW X Family model BMW X3.
November also marked a record sales month of the MINI brand, selling 29,271. The sales for these models for 2015 total at 302,091 delivered so far in 2015. That’s nearly twice as much as had been sold by this point last year. Deliveries were also up in Europe by 6.8%, 2.5% in America and 4.7% in Asia.
BMW Sales Go Up 34% in the Middle East
The most surprising figures come from the Middle East, which grew a whopping 34.2% from November of 2014. This suggests that BMW is becoming even more of a worldwide competitor in the automobile industry, as the Middle East is an important market.
Meanwhile, Volkswagen Continues to Struggle
Losses on the part of Volkswagen might be worse than expected. Their last quarter is likely to be quite disastrous after their emissions scandal broke out. It’s yet to be seen if their subsidiary companies are at all affected.
Volkswagen maintains that they will focus on regaining customer trust, and have halted production of all models that were supposed to be released in the last portion of 2015 and the beginning of 2016. We can expect the company to make some changes and make a comeback in a very big way, but it first has to prove to investors and potential buyers that it can be a reliable company with reliable cars that will not damage the environment.
