What is more fun than sitting down and playing a video game? How about sitting down and playing a video game with a buddy! Multiplayer games are always a blast to play because it is a totally different experience for gamers to play games with others. Both the Xbox One and the PS4 have terrific multiplayer games. Let’s take a look at the PS4 multiplayer games and the Xbox multiplayer games.
MULTIPLAYER GAMES ON BOTH PS4 AND XBOX ONE
Although there are exclusives on each system, there are also excellent multiplayer games that are present on both consoles. A big one is Destiny. Destiny came out with a ridiculous amount of hype and has mostly satisfied gamers. If nothing else, it is just a really fun game to play online and with friends. It is not a flawless game, but that does not mean that it is not extremely fun to play. Another big one is Borderlands: The Handsome Collection which includes Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. This is another first person shooter that includes a four player split screen to play with friends. Fry Cry 4 is another top contending multiplayer game and allows gamers to explore Kyrat with a friend. There are of course others, but these are three of the biggest and most fun.
PS4 MULTIPLAYER GAMES
The PS4 also offers some very fun exclusive multiplayer games. One of, if not the biggest, PS4 multiplayer games is Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. This is an MMORPG, mass media online role-playing game, meaning this game lives on multiplayer. Another really fun multiplayer game present on the PS4 is Helldivers. For those who have no idea what this game is, it is a top-down shooter. Be warned, this is not an easy game, but it is extremely fun to play with friends. Magicka 2 is another fun one, being an action-adventure game, however, it can be a hassle if you are playing with gamers that do not have much skill. This game requires the players to be in sync, and if they are multiplayer is really fun.
PS4 MULTIPLAYER GAMES IS HEADLINED BY FINAL FANTASY XIV: A REALM REBORN
Let’s face it, Final Fantasy is a game that would lead some fans to choose the PS4 for multiplayer. The franchise has that many devoted fans and is one of the most over the top popular gaming franchises ever. I think they have around 19,000 games released in the U.S. OK, so I am being sarcastic, but there have been a lot. You will not find this game on the Xbox One, and trust me many people would switch just to play this game.
XBOX MULTIPLAYER GAMES
The first thing that needs to be said is that there are loads of fun Xbox multiplayer games on the Kinect. However, it is fun as long as you like the idea of playing without a controller. One of the more fun games to play on the Kinect is Fantasia: Music Evolved. This is a motion controlled music rhythm game that will give people loads of multiplayer fun. However, outside of the Kinect, there is really only one multiplayer game that needs to be mentioned. Does Halo: The Master Chief Collection ring any bells?
XBOX MULTIPLAYER GAMES IS HEADLINED BY HALO: THE MASTER CHIEF COLLECTION
All that I said about Final Fantasy can be said about Halo. You can just copy and paste what was written for Final Fantasy in this section. The cult following of Halo is probably just as big as Final Fantasy’s. The Master Chief Collection gives users, if they buy the DLC, five Halo campaigns to play through via multiplayer. This has been well received by the critics, and it is one of the best multiplayer games on the market for any system right now.
WHAT WINS, XBOX MULTIPLAYER GAMES OR PS4 MULTIPLAYER GAMES?
Honestly, they both win. Yeah, that might be a lame answer, but the multiplayer games that they both have are awesome. Not just the exclusive multiplayer games but the one’s that are on both systems make both a winner. You can not go wrong with either one and maybe the only question you have to ask yourself is do you want Halo or Final Fantasy?
