The internet has fresh rumors about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7. GizmoChina has released pictures of the actual devices in cases, featuring a rectangular home button and a raised rear camera sensor.
The New Samsung Galaxy S7 Is Expected to Hit Stores in February
With a tentative release date two months from now, these latest news could be legitimate. It doesn’t look like Samsung is looking to stray too far from the S6 in terms of design. What is new, though, is that it looks like Samsung fans will be getting the S7 in four different versions: a plain Samsung Galaxy S7, an S7 edge, and a larger Plus model.
Freshest Rumor: Samsung Galaxy S7 Will Have an Iris Scanner
It’s possible that the new Samsung will only need users to look at their home screen to unlock their phones. The technology is not new, and Samsung has always been good at being ahead of the game when it comes to cool features. The rumor comes from a small foreign website, which takes away some of the credibility, but this is a rumor worth entertaining.
Shiny New Features May Bring the Price Up
One of the main concerns with the Galaxy S6 was that, despite its near perfection in design and efficiency, was its price. With these new features, it’s possible the S7 will be even pricier. Considering there’s word saying it’ll feature 4K display, liquid cooling and a Snapdragon 820 processor, this isn’t surprising. It’s possible that the Galaxy S7’s price tag will take away from potential profits. But Samsung has always been good at delivering the best results possible, so current Samsung users may have no problem making a switch.
Leaksters and Samsung enthusiasts are expecting the new Galaxy to be in the market before 2016’s Mobile World Congress. It looks like the iPhone 7 may get beat out by Samsung once again, unless the newest in the iPhone series features something as awesome as an iris scanner. Otherwise, Apple will be spending most of 2016 investing in better tech for the next Apple TV or Apple Watch. This has been the trend as of late, and though unfortunate, it’s probably for the best.
