Sony and Microsoft have announced a list of free games that will be accessible for their PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live Gold members for the month of January. This comes as a great New Year present to subscribers of these services.

PlayStation Plus Members Get Extra Perks this January

PlayStation Plus members will be getting free access to Hardware: Rivals, the multiplayer car combat game for PS4. They will also get free access to Grim Fandango Remastered, available for the PS4 and PlayStation Vita. Also on the list are RPG Dragon Age: Orgins and FPS Medal of Honor Warfighter for the PS3, as well as Legends of War Patton, a turn based strategy. The list concludes with the title Nihilumbra, a puzzle game for PS Vita.

Xbox Live Gold Members Have Timed Benefits

As for Xbox Live Gold Members, their rewards come with deadlines. They will be able to download Killer Instinct: Season 1 Ultra Edition for the whole month, but they will have access to Zheros only from January 16th to February 15th. Thanks to the new Xbox One backward compatibility feature, Xbox 360 games are part of the list as well.

Gamers will have access to DiRT Showdown from January 1st to January 15th, and Deus Ex: Human Revolution will be available from January 16th to January 31st.
